Bloggy Friend!

Reina from Semper Gumby... the Return of Sunshine, came to Hawaii to visit her family! I had missed my opportunity for meeting with her in Maryland with our crazy PCS, so I wasn't about to pass up on my chance when she was only an hour drive from our apartment!

At 10:30am I left my house for the cross island drive and pulled into her resort around 11:20am... we headed to the local Mexican restaurant, unfortunately I wasn't very hungry but the conversation was good!

After lunch we headed back to her resort to dip our feet in the lagoon... the guy taking our picture kept making us laugh!

It's not possible to skip quality shave ice!

The PCC

Our final adventure of my hubby's week off took us to the north shore area for a visit to the Polynesian Cultural Center. If you remember I didn't get to sleep until around 4am, the center opens at noon... but my husband felt it was necessary for me to get my sleep, and didn't wake me up until 11:15am. We left at noon, me prepared with a blanket and pillow to catch an hour nap on the drive up.

After our time in the center we attended the on site luau, then we attended the show "Ha: Breathe of Life." We were completely wiped out, I slept the entire hour long drive home as well... then slept 12hrs straight that night! My husband is so nice to me despite my issues as of late.

Monday: Pick-Me-Up

Pier 1 did an awesome facebook promotion for the last week of July... a new "daily deal" each morning. Last Monday I printed out my coupon for $10 off any $10 purchase. Tuesday I long-boarded down to our local Pier 1 and bought these goodies, I wanted to add some blue to the living room. What do you think?
