TroopPaws - Special Discount +giveaway!

Today I am here to introduce you to a new deployment buddy called TroopPaws! Marlene the founder of TroopPaws.com contacted me directly with a special discount and giveaway for all of you Army, Air Force, and Marine ladies (sorry Navy, unfortunately due to Navy implemented restrictions your product is only available at the NEX).

First I would like to give you a short background on this awesome company:
Each pup is proudly made here in the USA and proceeds from each sale help benefit the Folds Of Honor Foundation as well as Treat the Troops. Marlene has a real heart for military families, one of my favorite quotes from the about us page is- "The courage of family members left behind is so admirable that my hope is that loved ones find strength and comfort in this personalized keepsake."

I am honored to give one lucky reader one of the following pups, not to mention a little jealous that I don't have one of my own...
I mean how ridiculously cute are these guys?

However, I can order one at a special rate... so can you!
Marlene has given me this SPECIAL LINK to share with all Skinnie Piggie readers. It is good for $5.00 off! That's a great deal considering these guys are 14" tall, made out of authentic uniform material, have hypo-allergenic poly filling, and include special details such as: a flag sewn onto the right sleeve, a patriotic ribbon, dog-tag key chain, and a sewn plastic pocket for a picture of your loved one! These also make great gifts, please do not delay on taking Marlene up on this limited time offer... remember only one person can win the giveaway, everyone can utilize this special.

Now, onto the giveaway:

OPENS- Thursday March 29th
CLOSES- Thursday April 5th
WINNER ANNOUNCED- Friday April 6th

There are 8 possible entries for this giveaway, those marked with an * are REQUIRED, please leave a comment for each item you have done. The winner will be chosen via random.org.

I hope you all enjoy your TroopPaws!

PSA: Military Girl Interview

Towards the beginning of the year I was honored to have completed an interview with the lovely Melissa Jaine, each Wednesday she features a military spouse on her blog... this Wednesday happens to be my interview!

She is also the creator of the Twenty5 Project which is a great way to decorate those white military rental walls of yours and help military charities all at the same time.

I hope you enjoy my interview.
Let me know what you think.

Uninspired

Dear blogging world,

I will not apologize for my lack of posts.
I will not worry about losing followers.
I will not, I don't see the point.

It's cloudy, gloomy, and rainy.
It has been for a week now.
But that's not the reason.

My husband is deployed.
We hardly ever talk.
That's not it either.

I love reading your blogs.
I'll comment as often as possible.

I'll post when I have something to blog about.
I don't know how long that will be.
It could be 1 week - or 1 month.

See you soon(ish)!

Chocolate Heaven

Last weekend a friend and I attended the Hawaii Chocolate Festival... to say it was anything less than divine would be a lie. I was so excited that dark chocolate was featured as much as it was... I'm not really a milk chocolate fan unless there is peanut butter in the middle (love me some Reese's, but they are making them with dark chocolate now too-score!) and white chocolate... well it needs to have something in the middle as well.

Each of us received a "Chocolate Passport" good for 10 samples, there were 30 booths to choose from, so theoretically we would have gotten to try 1/3 of the goods. I don't know if we were cute or some booths just didn't care but we ended up getting 15 samples!

Here are some tantalizing photos from my day in Chocolate Heaven...

Top Row (L-R): Chocolate Beer, Chocolate Robots, Chocolate Crusted Lilikoi (Passion Fruit) Cheesecake
Middle Row (L-R): Antique Toy Truck with a Cacao Pod, Event Sign, 50s Band!
Bottom Row (L-R): Delicious Chocolate Fountain, Range of Chocolate Shop Wine, Chocolate/Coconut Fettuccine
