Tear drops on my pillowcase

I'm laying in bed (beauty of technology right-blogging via my phone) surrounded by tear drops on my pillowcase and wet cheeks. I followed the advice of my friends to not see the movie "Act of Valor" without my husband, especially not while he is deployed. Which is fine with me considering I know he is going to want to see it anyway... I also enjoy reading books prior to seeing the movie. So when Target had the book on special during opening week I bought it. I didn't start reading it until two days ago... Then I couldn't put it down.

And now here I am. Wondering how I was privileged, honored, dare I say blessed to marry a man so much like the Boss & Chief. To marry a warrior. I just pray I am as strong, independent, and tough as Julia & Jackie... Wow.

Lucky to Live in Hawaii

Since I don't want to leave you hanging --- the car is fixed (prayerfully for the rest of it's time with me).
None of those issues were devastating or life shattering, mainly annoying and some of them costly.
Sorry for being a whiner!

I wanted to share one of my honu (turtle) buddies...
God's creation never ceases to amaze me.
I feel incredibly lucky that I get to live in this extremely beautiful place!

I did a little island hop to Maui with my parents earlier this week, I will post some photos from that trip in the near future. I hope you are all doing well!

The breakdown.

I made it through...
  • AT&T shuting off my texting plan when they turned off my husband's service
  • The cable company  de-activating and un-registering our cable convertor box
  • The truck's battery dying causing the security system to over-ride the keys and having to have the dealership reset the system and replace the battery
  • My wine opener attacked me and gashed my finger open
  • The car (that we aren't keeping) needed $620 worth of new tires and brake fluid flushing/repair.
  • Burning my arm on the pizza pan (gonna have a nice little scar)
  • Dislocating my pinky toe not once but three times in 2 days!
But today... today, was my breakdown point in this deployment. Thankfully my dad is in town and he dealt with the tears and frustration. Let's put it this way- I am seriously wishing we had paid the $2000.00 to ship my Mazda here. It would have saved me many tears, headaches, and money. Hoping the repairs that were done today actually fix the issues on my island car... stupid island car... I want my Mazda 3 back =(
