A Moment of Silence

22 October 1984 - 6 October 2005

This is Jeremiah. We grew up together in church... his funeral was my first Military Funeral for a friend. I hope it is the last.

The tears from his family... especially his mother. His fiancee... I cannot fathom those emotions. I hope I never will.

He followed his father's footsteps in the Army, his two younger brothers now serve in the Marine Corps and Navy. His family is amazing- Christian, American. Everything this country should resemble.

My prayers are with you all - everyone who has lost someone to war. Please know we have not forgotten their (and your) sacrifice. God Bless.

  2. Since becoming a mom I think about not just the wives and kids who the fallen have left behind but the moms who raised such amazing men who are willing to lay their life on the line to protect us. I can not even fathom the pain of losing your child. My heart and prayers go out to his family.

  4. My husband is a 100% disabled OIF veteran. I'm originally from England and my son is a Royal Marine Commando.

It's so crazy that I have been watching out for the well-being for the two main men in my life, when most women go about their daily lives without a second thought.

My son is preparing for his fourth deployment!

    God bless our troops.
