Reasons Why...

We don't have children.
  1. Obviously #1 is the fact we've only been married for a year.
  2. I'm terrified of pregnancy/delivering. Yes, I'm serious. Does that make me a terrible woman?
  3. We enjoy sleeping through the night... aka: not getting woken up at 12am, 3am, and 5:30am.
  4. When you need to use the bathroom/shower there isn't banging and screaming coming from the other side of the door.
  5. All of your breakable items (ie: candles, glass decorations, vases) don't have to take up all of the counter space in your tiny kitchen to avoid being broken.
  6. We've never had to clean our nice TV- until we got sticky hand prints on it...
  7. Weights are for working out, not dropping off the first stair onto the tile floor.
  8. Guinea pigs nibble on fingers that smell/taste like food- which ensures screaming & crying.
  9. We can actually find the remote control and it isn't covered in spit...
  10. We can go where we want, when we want. Yeah it sounds selfish.
We love our little nephew. But whew... quite a handful! Now to figure out where everything is, so I can put my house back together...

  1. Those are pretty legit reasons if you ask me!

  2. Those are amazing reasons... mine are much more self absorbed, like "what if I don't like the kid?" or "what if I resent the kid"! There are a billion reasons why I just don't want one just yet.

  3. I don't want kids yet either. I'm nervous my parents just won't love me anymore or they will give every ounce of attention to my children and I'll just be background noise. Yes, selfish! ha ha

  5. My list is very simple. It's got one reason: "I just don't want kids."

That, and we're too financially unstable. And Drew works 14+ hour days ... and then there's the fact that I dislike children ... ;)

It's probably better that we have a furry menagerie as opposed to actual kids.

  6. It does not make you terrible to be afraid of pregnancy and delivery. TV, the movies and women in general make it out to be 100x worse than it really is.. besides, there are drugs available :)

And I was NOT a kid person.. like NOT AT ALL. But OH MY GOODNESS do I love my little boy. I promise when the time is right, you'll love your baby so much it won't matter if there's spit and throw up and no sleep and banging.

But for now, enjoy your time together :)
