A little of this, a little of that

HEALTH
So it's been awhile since I discussed my health... it's not something I like talking about, but it's a part of my life. I did really well for a week completely off all medications (minus melatonin to sleep) then the night before the movers came I had a panic attack. After the move, I still wasn't taking medications and I even stopped taking melatonin... life was normal, for a week. Sunday night I had a huge panic attack... so I went back to the doctor today.

As much as I didn't want to be on medicaton, as much as I don't want the risk of addiction... I will be starting an anxiety medication tonight. I will be seeing the counselor every 2wks and then the doctor again in 1.5/2mo for a follow up. I need to allow the medication to work properly while getting my eating, sleeping, and excercising back on track. After the 1.5/2mo they will re-evaluate, and decide if my dosage can be weaned.

I won't be on the medication forever, the way the doctor put it was "we need to help you through this season of your life."

TECHNOLOGY
Our phone contracts were up for renewal... so we got the iPhone 4, it's so technologically advanced for me! I am excited that I don't have to scroll back through texts to keep up with conversations (yeah my prior phone was that awesome), the apps are crazy-there really is an app for everything, I'm also excited to try the facetime thing. Any of you have an iPhone 4, what do you think?

NATURE
I am ridiculously spoiled... last night I walked down to the beach. Literally, front door to sitting on a piece of driftwood and watching the waves=7min. It was perfect.

  1. I have/do struggle a lot with anxiety and panic attacks. Medication is a totally personal decision and sometimes, it's needed, so don't worry about it. I pray it works for you and you can feel back on track again!

  2. I think you're absolutely making the right decision with medication. You don't have to be on it forever, but if it can help get you to where you need to be to continue to be healthy, that's a good thing.
