But I did enjoyed my weekend... went to a friend's bridal shower and came home with these pretties :
I know a lot of people that don't like carnations, they think they are cheap, a lame substitute for roses, or just really hate them because in high school they never got handed one on Valentine's day. *Newsflash: it was high-school, get over it! I never got them either, and look at me now... married to a hot marine who is more of a man than most of the guys I knew in high school will ever be.
But I think they are pretty.

ReplyDeletemy church always has a bucket of carnations at the pulpit on mothers day, and at the end of the sermon all the kids are supposed to go up and get one for their mothers! so i have always looked at them as something so desirable and couldnt wait for my turn! of course this year... when finally it was my turn to get one in church. they didnt do it! gaaaaaaahh (i guess cause our church has over 400 people per service now haha)
ReplyDeleteFlowers always brighten my mood, regardless of what kind!! And honestly roses are getting old, people! Maybe it's just me, but they just seem boring and overdone. Oh yes, still lovely, but not my #1!!
