Traditional Sugar Cookies
In a small bowl mix all dry ingredients together, set aside. In a large bowl cream together the butter and sugar until completely smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoon fulls of dough into balls, place on ungreased cookies sheets.
Bake 8-10min until golden. Let cool on cookie sheet for 2min then remove and cool completely on wire rack.
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup butter - softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
